Founded by Alexander Sylte in 2002, Living Group connects creative thinking with the discipline of building businesses.
Living Group is Alexander Sylte’s private holding company and venture lab, based in Oslo with a European outlook. We develop concepts and build businesses in partnership with co-founders and collaborators.
We are drawn to possibility. A venture can begin with an idea, a shift in the market or a person we meet. We look at what it could offer and who it is for, then bring in the experience, resources and commitment to build it.
Our background spans design, fashion, art, media, music and culture, with a keen interest in technology. Years of founding businesses and helping others build theirs have given us a feel for the market, which guides how we assess opportunities and develop concepts.
Our role combines building ventures with active ownership. Once a business is up and running, its co-founders and team lead the daily operations, while we remain involved in its direction and development through the board.
Living Group's origins date to 2002, when Alexander founded the original business and went on to build various companies across design, media, communications, art, music and events, most of them under the Living Group name. Following their consolidation, Living Group has focused on its role as a holding company and venture lab since 2024.
