The Living Group Approach

How we build businesses together

Our work can begin with an idea, a market opportunity or a person or team worth building with.

Through dialogue and exploration, we establish what the business could offer, who it is for and what it would take to develop it. Cultural judgement and commercial understanding inform the decisions, from the character of the concept to demand, costs and resources.

The people involved shape the venture as much as the original idea. We value complementary abilities, independent thinking and a willingness to take responsibility. Working together means being open to different perspectives and allowing the concept to develop through the experience and contributions of those involved.

A relationship may begin with exploratory work, a defined project or the possibility of becoming co-founders. Each requires a clear understanding of the scope, responsibilities and commitment involved. Contributions, decision-making, ownership and financial terms need to be agreed as the relationship takes shape, before substantial work begins.

Living Group combines concept development, ownership and active involvement. Operating responsibilities sit within the individual venture, with a structure suited to the business and its founders. The group provides a framework for collaboration without imposing one identity or way of working on every company.

Not every idea needs to become a business. Exploration can strengthen a proposition, change its direction or show that it is not the right opportunity to pursue. We look for a sound basis to continue: a worthwhile concept, a credible commercial proposition and people who want to build it together.

If you see a reason to work together, tell us about your experience, what interests you and the contribution you have in mind.

A brief introduction is enough to begin.
